Musician, performance artist, innovator, inventor -- there isn't a whole lot that Laurie Anderson hasn't done during the 40-odd years she's devoted herself to the creative life. And soon she could add another title to that list: Grammy winner. The legend recently received her third Grammy nomination for her instrumental song "Flow" from 2010's Homeland.
A few weeks ago Anderson dropped by the Out studio to chat about her feelings about mainstream music, her male "audio drag" persona Fenway Bergamot, and why she and longtime partner Lou Reed finally decided to tie the knot:
Tune into the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards on February 13 at 8PM ET/PT on CBS to see if Anderson wins the Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental. For more on Anderson, visit her official website. Homeland is now in stores and available for download from iTunes.
