Editor's Wish List: David Gray, Creative Director

Creative Director David Gray shares his holiday wish list:

1. Filson Foul Weather Coat, $260 at Filson.
I live in NYC and spend vacations in Scotland. Who doesn't need a waterproof and windproof waxed jacket you can brave anything in?

2. Saladin, Hero of Islam, by Geoffrey Hindley, $30 at Amazon.
The clash of Saladin and Richard The Lionheart, with a supporting cast that included the great Eleanor of Aquitaine, should be read from both sides. This is my book of choice for a long winter weekend.

3. Converse All Star Battered Suede, $60 at Converse.
I remember when all the choice you had with Converse was hi or lo top ... no longer! I'm looking ahead to when it's not too cold, again.

4. Maker's Mark, $20 at Maker's Mark.
A classic, and I always loved the bottle, too.

5. My Neighbor Totoro, $19 at Amazon
This beats Wonderful Life on my perfect holiday season wish-list. From Hayao Miyazaki, a tale of loss and love and fantasy.

6. The Canon G-12, $499 at Canon.
I'm not a great photographer, but love having a camera on me all of the time, to capture friends and family, and for scouting jobs and the like. And I've finally been convinced that shooting video clips is the way of the future!
