While some people and organizations have been busy throwing tantrums over Lady Gaga's recent decision to wear a dress made of meat to MTV's Video Music Awards, we think they're missing a major marketing opportunity. Leave it to a well-seasoned New Yorker to see right past the revolting aspects of Gaga's moment of beguiling butchery and instead focus on the chance for some possible profit increases. O Ottomanelli & Sons Prime Meats, located on Bleeker Street in New York, was spotted with the sign at left out front today. So whilst PETA is sulking in the corner over Gaga's meaty fashion statement, others have been showing some of that entrepreneurial spirit we've come to expect from Manhattan business owners. And it's totally working--now we're hankering for a steak. (Kottke.org via R29)
