The news that a Spanish clinic is being investigated for allegedly offering to "cure" homosexuality is bizarre enough (though the government's reaction -- they're currently investigating the claim -- has been heartening in a country where being gay was only decriminalized 30 years ago). But it's the treatment available at the Policlinica Tibidabo, in Barcelona, that has really caught our attention. Not the psychiatric counseling they tout, but that the therapy is used in conjunction with "pills." We've used the quotes because no one is saying, or seems to know, what's in those pills. We're guessing something very dodgy, and we will continue to scour news reports to see if anyone determines their exact contents.
In the meantime, have a look at our gay cures slide show for a few more ludicrous ideas thought up by scientists, clergymen, and others hoping to save us from ourselves.
