Soapy Lesbian Kisses

Say what you like about those Brits, their soap TV has always been ahead of the curve when it comes to same-sex relationships and ratings-boosting kisses.So Coronation Street - the grand old lady of the genre - having a plot line involving a steamy snog (as the Brits say) between two lesbian characters is nothing new. Except one of the actresses and her real-life boyfriend have reportedly split because he can't handle the attention, according to tabloid paper The Sun.

18-year-old Sacha Parkinson, who plays Sian Powers, has been gaining huge tabloid media attention for the kisses, and young boyfriend Ben (19) told a friend that the couple have been forced to avoid the trendy bars in Manchester, England, for fear of being mobbed by fans wanting to talk to Sacha and have their picture taken with her. This proved too much for Ben, who previously had been unable to watch kissing scenes between then-straight Sian and her soap boyfriend.
