After four years -- and giving birth to her first child, Max -- Christina Aguilera is back exactly where we want her: on the radio. Her latest single, "Not Myself Tonight," (listen to the song here) heralds the arrival of a new, supposedly edgier Xtina who will release her fourth full-length album, Bionic, on June 8. To us, it sounds a lot like the old Christina -- in the best possible way -- but she does boast about kissing "all the boys and girls," her first bicurious declaration, in song, at least.
Aguilera turned to a gaggle of alterna (and many of them queer) acts like Sia, Ladytron, Santigold, and M.I.A. to give her a new (as she explained to Rolling Stone recently) "less soulful" sound which she hopes will surprise fans and rocket her beyond the limitations of the current pop stratosphere. Expect more from us surrounding Bionic as we get closer to the release date.
