Finally finish off the day with a sing-a-long showing of Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog starring Neil Patrick Harris as the title villain in Joss Whedon's musical that quickly became an online cult hit. A day ending with NPH is always a good day...
Saturday, July 25th:
Saturday is full of screenings that might perk up your Vulcan stick-on ears, such as Eastwick, the re-telling of The Witches of Eastwick. Though this one doesn't have Cher or Michelle Pfeiffer, it does star Rebecca Romjin, who will be on hand to answer questions about the show that's supposedly Desperate Housewives meets Practical Magic. Ever since the pilot episode of Glee was shown after the American Idol finale this past May, audiences have been waiting with baited breath for the next episode that isn't supposed to air until the fall, but Comic Con is offering up a special treat and showing the second episode with stars and producers on hand to talk about the their mission to make jazz hands cool again.
If Twilight didn't have enough bloodsuckers for you, there are two events tonight for you fangbangers: one is the True Blood panel and Q&A with fans and creator Alan Ball, while The Vampire Diaries, the new CW show created by Kevin Williamson (Scream, Dawson's Creek) will screen its first episode, followed by a panel discussion with the stars and producers. End your geektastic weekend with a bang as the Gays in Comics -- Year 22! panel has an assortment of writers and artists talking about the role of gays in modern day comics. There will be surprise guests and prizes given away during the panel. Talking about gays in comics is all well and good, but why just listen to the comic literati when you can go drinking with them afterward at the Gays in Comics Mixer! Talk about Superman's bulge throughout the years as you throw back comic cocktails with your favorite comic creators.
