Watson joins Saoirse Ronan, Laura Dern and Timothée Chalamet.

Greta Gerwig's upcoming adaptation of the classic Little Women has a very interesting and somewhat perplexing cast: Meryl Streep was originally thought to be playing Marmie, but is actually playing Aunt March. The film also stars Laura Dern and Timothee Chalamet, with Saoirse Ronan and Florence Pugh as the Women in question, although they're a bit old to play such Little ladies. Emma Stone was also announced as part of the cast -- Variety reports that she was "unable to join the project for unknown circumstances" -- and it was thought she'd be playing Meg, but now she is no longer available for the role and Harry Potter star Emma Watson has stepped in. The film begins production next month.

How will this Little Women compare to Winona Ryder's iconic version? Well, it's got Timothee Chalamet so...can we buy tickets yet?
