Remember where you came from.

Let it be known that sampling the work of Ms. Lauryn Hill does not go unnoticed by the artist nor without rebuke. After Drake borrowed the beat from Hill's "Ex-Factor" for his women-praising "Nice For What," the two-time Grammy winner responded in kind during a recent show at the Apollo.

"See this is 'Ex-Factor' / He took the sample / My shit is classic / Here's an example" she rapped, reminding Drake and audiences who the legend is from which he drew his inspiration. "Stop acting like you didn't grow up on my songs," she continued, "I swooped down on the bitch like I had wings on my arms."

Impersonation is the sincerest form of flattery, and you're welcome to flatter Ms. Lauryn Hill, as long as you're prepared for the consequences. Watch, below.
