The New York Times reports that Kathy Griffin will play Kellyanne Conway on Comedy Central's political satire, The President Show. The Times reports:
"I am kicking the hornet's nest, as much as I can," Ms. Griffin said in a phone interview.
"I think it's important to lean into the controversy, because I know so much more about it now," she added. "I think now enough time has passed where people are starting see the ridiculousness of what happened to me, and they're seeing other people that Trump has done it to."
Griffin's new role comes on the heels of the announcement that she will attend the White House Correspondents Dinner. Griffin was famously ostracized and blacklisted after the photo of her holding President Trump's bloody severed head went viral. Griffin at first apologized, but has since recanted that apology.

"I'm happy to be doing something, after this last year, that's purely fun," she told the Times.
