Wanda Sykes to Perform Stand-Up Special for EPIX

Wanda Sykes is gracing us with a one-hour comedy event courtesy of premium TV network EPIX. The stand-up special, What Happened...Ms. Sykes? will be filmed May 21 at the Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, focusing on Wanda's life, family, race, and politics.

She recently expressed her enthusiasm about the special:

"I'm excited to be partnering with EPIX for this show. It's been too long since my last special, but just like a new Sade album, it takes time to deliver pure genius. You can thank me later."

The stand-up special will premiere on EPIX October 21 at 10pm ET/PT, 9pm C.
