The New Yorker Presents, an Amazon original series that launched last week, is based off of the award-winning content found in The New Yorker. Every episode brings the pages of the magazine to life, spotlighting work by renowned narrative directions and A-list talent.
Episode 4, which launches tomorrow, examines the flamboyant Cassandra, a gay star of Mexican wrestling, in a segment called "The Man Without a Mask" directed by Roger Ross Williams. The exclusive clip below finds Cassandra as he prepares his makeup for stage, balancing masculinity and femininity in a dramatic, if not revelatory, fashion.
Watch the video and catch the full episode tomorrow. And remember, more episodes of The New Yorker Presents will premiere every Tuesday through March 15.
