Take the R out of Gray andbingo! Here are some exclusive outtakes from Michael Mustos interview with Heather. Alan Cummingas a straight cab driver in Gray Matterslooks pretty wacky in his drag scene. Hes a very funny guy. We had funny conversations and we forgot we were miked. He told me hilarious, crazy, out-there stories about his personal life. And the whole crew heard? Yeah. He was like, Oh, well. Whatever. Youre not exactly self-conscious yourself. It seems like you take on more than a few edgy roles. I guess so. Thats just what I like. And I do believe in gay rights and its cool to be part of a movie that celebrates that. Meanwhile, you play a heroin addict in a film called Broken. Its about the sexiness and darkness of addiction and self-destruction. Its the opposite of Gray Matters. Also, Im in Adrift in Manhattan, about these people in New York going through difficult things and how theyre interconnected. And Im getting into producing, doing a movie about the Triangle fire. Oh, and I hear that Maryan Abel Ferrara movie Im in with Juliette Binoche and Forrest Whitakermight be coming out. Busy, busy. Abels nuts, isnt he? [Pause] Hes a character. Whats the main gay issue in the world today? Im not a huge fan of George Bush. I think its crazy that with all the things going in the world like genocide, we care so much if same-sex people get married. Why put so much effort into trying to control peoples lives? We should focus on our own. Make your own marriage happy!
