After Becca Tilley and Hayley Kiyoko, Chrishell Stause and G Flip, and Gabby Windey and Robby Hoffman, we’re looking everywhere for the next major reality star to give up on her relationships with men and go the queer route. Unfortunately, despite months of speculation, it seems that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards and her BFF, queer country music star Morgan Wade, will not be joining the group.
Wade and Richards met two years ago after Richards posted that she was listening to Wade’s music in an Instagram story, but it wasn’t until recently that rumors of a romance started.
Recently, Richards began a highly-publicized separation from her husband Mauricio Umansky, and, at the same time, began spending more time with Wade.
The two started posting more and more pictures with each other on Instagram, going on vacations together, sitting in each other’s laps, with Richards even starring as the love interest in one of Wade’s new music videos.
Still, they’ve denied rumors of a relationship — and now, Wade is denying them once again.
“We’re friends,” the singer told People when asked about their relationship status. “The internet’s a dumb place.”
While the two aren’t an item, their friendship has grown very strong. One of the things they bonded over was breast cancer. Richards’ mom Kathleen died in 2002 from breast cancer, and Wade is currently preparing to undergo a double mastectomy due to her having the RAD51D gene, which makes her much more likely to develop the cancer.
“She helped me connect with some really good surgeons,” Wade told People. “We were talking about that and then she had the idea of us doing a documentary and following all this stuff, so we’ve been out and about. She’s just really been there for me with all that.”
“It’s just been such a great friendship,” she added. “I know that if Kyle vouches for you, you’re a good person.”
This is likely not the last time these two will comment on the rumors.
