Did Black Panther star Letitia Wright get married?

The sapphernet is going wild with speculation that Black Panther, Wakanda Forever and Avengers Doomsday star Letitia Wright has married a woman known only as Angel-Vicki, based on photos circulating online.

This all started following press night on Sept. 3 for Wright’s new play, The Story, at London’s National Theatre. As Go Magazine reported, a series of posts on Instagram showed Wright posing close to Angel-Vicki on the red carpet. "Happy Press Night! I’m beyond proud of you,” was the caption on an Instagram post from @_angel_vicki that has vanished after both Wright and Angel-Vicki closed their accounts.

But before the images were taken down, fans and @Blackish Press, an account that covers news of interest to the Black population around the world, swiftly reposted pics on X.

The photo has a caption burned-in, along with three brown heart emojis, that says "mi amor," which is French for "my love."

Another photo shared to Angel-Vicki’s Instagram Stories appeared to show her with Wright in matching pajamas and a dog. Out was unable to contact Wright or Angel-Vicki for confirmation of their relationship, or for a comment on the photos.

Before it was shut down, Angel-Vicki’s Instagram bio read, in part, “WLW” and “Married.”

Although Wright has never commented publicly about her orientation, rumors swirled in December 2022 when videos surfaced, showing her with American R&B singer Kehlani Ashley Parrish. TMZ posted the video of them dancing and grinding on each other at a London nightclub afterparty following a Kehlani concert. A source told The Shade Room "Kehlani and Letitia are just friends" and denied they were in a relationship.

Ever since, fans have been looking for signs that Wright is a lesbian, and the rumors picked up significantly after Angel-Vicki started showing photos on social media of herself with Wright on multiple occasions, as Go reported.

The actress reportedly has another public social media account, and the woman believed to be Wright responded “yessssssss” when a fan asked "Tish" if she was married.

Wright reportedly shared one of Angel-Vicki’s photos to her own Instagram Stories before closing the account.

In 2022, the actor spoke with The Guardian about how she embraced Christianity following a deep depression, a period of partying and heavy drinking.

'It gave me the centring I needed, the good foundation I needed, and it helped me to put in perspective what was important for me," Wright said. "Chasing something that is not tangible or not wholesome is not the way I want to go. If I was to pack all this up I’d still be happy with my faith, the contentment I feel and the connection to God."

One fan who shared the now-deleted photos of Wright and Angel-Vicki mentioned her faith in their post: "Letitia def gave 'pray it away' vibes before so for her to be open like this is so powerful! To be so in love that you rather just live your truth is so beautiful."

Until she either confirms or denies or makes some kind of public statement about Angel-Vicki and their status, fans are having a field day, enjoying the possibility that she may have come out and even tied the knot. "The world is an amazing place," wrote one fan.

Another one wrote: "Apparently they’re married OMG OMG IM SO HAPPY!" with an emoji of a face holding back tears. And there was this post: "I love that we all knew to Wait. Because we all clocked her around Wakanda Forever."
