Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Layla Taylor is having a transformative summer. It’s been less than three weeks since the reality television show darling came out as bisexual, and she’s already soft-launched her new girlfriend and been photographed by TMZ with the mystery woman.
The pair were spotted during what appears to be a classic Southern California amusement park date to LEGOLAND. The photos show Taylor and her unnamed partner with their arms around each other, accompanying Taylor’s two sons through the building block-themed world of wonder.
Much to the delight of queer fans of the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Taylor came out as bisexual on June 29, during an interview on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast.
“It’s just something that I honestly didn’t really know how to formally address for a long period of my life,” she told Shetty. “We’re only on this earth for however long we are here and I’ll be damned if I’m not able to be fully who I am.”
Taylor said that her breakup with ex-boyfriend Mason McWhorter is what inspired her to finally take the leap and explore her sexuality. “I went through a breakup at the beginning of this year, and I feel like for just a long period of my life, I was constantly living my life for other people,” she said. “I think honestly that breakup was like a blessing in disguise because I feel like now I’ve been fully able to just focus on Layla.”
On July 6, Taylor posted a video on Instagram, in which she’s smiling and holding hands with her yet-to-be-identified girlfriend. “Chivalry isn’t dead it’s w the lesbians,” the caption read. The text overlayed on the video reads, “‘You’re glowing recently’ thanks I’m dating a woman.”
The photos captured by TMZ on July 16 showcase exactly that: Taylor glowing alongside her tattooed mystery partner. Though it’s unclear whether the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will get a season five, we’re positive we absolutely want at least 10 seasons of a spin-off including Taylor and her girlfriend.
