Could there be a Real Housewives wedding soon? Well... probably not.
The Real Housewives of New York star and former J. Crew creative director and president Jenna Lyons is sparking wedding rumors!
In a black-and-white picture Lyons posted to Instagram, she and girlfriend Cass Bird are seen cuddling in bed while she’s showing off a giant diamond ring on her ring finger.
“I’ll take the French fries and steak au poivre,” Lyons captioned the post, which had friends and fans commenting and offering their congratulations on what they thought was an engagement announcement.
“Lovers in Paris,” commented Lyons’ RHONY costar Erin Lichy. “So happy for you both.”
“Congratulations my love,” said her other costar Sai De Silva.
“Mazel tov!” added Andy Cohen.
However, those celebrating may have gotten a little ahead of themselves. According to a “source close to Lyons” who talked to People, “she’s not engaged,” and “she’s had that ring forever, and though it does look like an engagement ring, it’s not.”
Bird, who is a renowned photographer, and Lyons went public with their relationship in June of this year, but have kept much of their relationship private.
On Real Housewives, Lyons said that she wouldn’t be discussing her dating life on the show. However, she did tell her castmates about Bird before filming ended.
Before Lyons came out, she was married to artist Vincent Mazeau for nine years. They divorced in 2011. A year later, she first publicly acknowledged she was in a relationship with a woman, Courtney Crangi. They split in 2017.
