'Sister Wives's Gwendolyn Brown Tweets She is a "Raging Bisexual"

Gwendolyn from Sister Wives

She says she was never really in the closet to begin with.

It was only two words, but sometimes that's all you need to make a big statement. It's that type of splash Sister Wives star Gwendolyn Brown made when she came out on Twitter with an update to her profile that simply read "raging bisexual."

The revelation caused quite the stir on social media. According to Pink News, some fans questioned if Brown was really gay at all and the 18-year-old actor eventually deactivated her account to escape the fans.

Speculation about Brown's sexuality had been brewing for months on Reddit ever since she had added a rainbow emoji to her Instagram profile. She later clarified in a tweet from her since-deleted profile that was saved and posted in the thread that she was never really in the closet to begin with.

Brown is the fourth daughter of Christine and Kody Brown on Sister Wives, a show following the lives of a polygamist and his four wives and 18 children. While the marriage between Kody and wife Meri is legal, his marriages to Gwendolyn's mom Christine, and also Janelle and Robin are considered spiritual unions rather than legal unions.

Gwendolyn has been increasingly willing to add her voice to those calling for change, protesting police violence, and supporting struggles of both BLM and the LGBTQ+ community. In a recent Instagram post she noted that the LGBTQ+ rights movement owes a debt of gratitude to queer people of color because, as she sees it, they "set it all in motion, especially trans women of color."

Gwendolyn is not the first of the Brown bunch to come out. Her half sister Mariah revealed she was gay in 2017. Mariah got engaged to Audrey Triss in 2019 and she indicated in an episode from March of this year entitled "Growing up Gay and Religious" that the couple are considering children, much to the pleasure of her four moms.

"The fact that they're talking babies, I'm so okay with that," Mariah's mother Meri explained on the episode.

"Well, they should," observed Kody's fourth wife, Robyn. "There's two wombs."
