Zed

The DJ called out a Twitter user who referred to the engagement as 'disgusting.'

Zedd has fired back at a homophobic comment on Twitter following a viral video of a couple who got engaged at his concert and we can't help but stan.

At a Zedd concert in Houston Friday, a man named David Montoya proposed to his boyfriend as the DJ played his hit song 'Clarity.' Though the words are indecipherable in the clip of the proposal posted to Twitter, Montoya who had been hugging his boyfriend from behind, drops to one knee, and spins his fiance to be around. The boyfriend, who goes by JuJu on Twitter is visibly overjoyed, clearly says yes, and the two kiss, as concertgoers around them slowly realize what's happening.

"@Zedd this happened last night at your show in Houston! Thank you for the beautiful back drop for this special night! #loveislove," a friend who filmed it all posted to Twitter. Montoya later went on to say that all of the comments "touched [his] heart so deeply."

The DJ and producer responded to Joseph to the video, which went viral, to congratulate the couple. "So happy for you guys and THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS DURING MY [SHOW]," he tweeted.

Following the tweet which has amassed 2.8 million views and over 40 thousand likes on the social media platform, one user responded with "disgusting," to which Zedd shot back, "get the f--ck outta here!"

The German songwriter, who has recently released a song with Kehlani, is currently on his Orbit Tour with the first October tour dates set in Atlanta, D.C., and Raleigh, North Carolina. Zedd has collaborated on songs with a number of artists over the years including Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez and Hayley Williams on the hit song 'Stay the Night'.
