Being in quarantine has had a lot of ramifications for different people but for The Trevor Project, the world's largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ+ youth, there's been a decided uptick in demand for services. With schools closed and youth being forced to spend more time in various environments, the organization has seen more calls than ever before in its 22 years of existence. Now Bliss --as well as influencers like Nikita Dragun, Manny MUA, and former Out editor-in-chief Phillip Picardi -- is helping out.

Beginning today, Bliss is entering into a multifaceted, longterm partnership with The Trevor Project. As a part of that, Picardi, Manny, and Bliss are co-hosting a "Live for Lives" Instagram Live telethon that features guests like Dragun and Angel Merino to raise awareness and donations. The event will begin Friday, May 1 at noon on the Bliss Instagram account.

"As LGBTQ youth continue to find ways to cope with stress and anxiety during the pandemic, The Trevor Project has experienced more than double the volume of young people reaching out to our crisis services," said Muneer Panjwani, Head of Corporate Development for The Trevor Project. "Bliss' match will help us continue providing crisis services to the growing number of LGBTQ young people in need of mental health support. We're excited for the telethon to reach LGBTQ youth with clear messages of love and hope, so that even if viewers feel isolated or are living in unsupportive environments, they know The Trevor Project is here for them 24/7, and that they are loved and never alone."

Bliss has pledged to match up to $50,000 in donations.
