WATCH: Audience Member Attempts to Charge Phone at Hand to God
Even complete idiots like to go to the theater.
An audience member tried to charge his iPhone in a fake, onstage outlet during a recent showing of Broadway's Hand to God. When the phone was removed from the stage by house staff, said audience remember responded with, "Well, where can I charge it?"
Hand to God is a new, critically-acclaimed comedy that received five Tony nominations this year, including Best Play. It follows the story of a small town, Cypress, thrown into chaos by a feisty hand-puppet, Tyrone. One of the show's stars, Mark Kudisch, took to Twitter after the incredibly rude incident to comment:
\u201cDear general audience, an electrical socket that's a part of the set of the play is NOT for you to charge your iPhone.....just an FYI.....\u201d— Marc Kudisch (@Marc Kudisch) 1435972249
