The Emmy-nominated actor has some thoughts on what he wants to see for his Euphoria character.

Emmy-nominated actor Colman Domingo wants some backstory for his Euphoria character -- and we totally agree!

During the opening night festivities of this year's Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ+ Film Festival, the out actor, who earned his career-first Emmy nomination in the "Outstanding Guest Actor In A Drama Series" category after portraying Rue's (Emmy winner Zendaya) Narcotics Anonymous sponsor Ali in HBO's wildly popular teen drama series, walked the red carpet and talked about the future of Euphoria. (The show's second season ended earlier this year and an upcoming third season is already being planned, although it's not clear when it will actually premiere.)

"I don't know what he's gonna do, but I know that Sam [Levinson] has some really big ideas about season three," Domingo told Out when asked about what he envisions for his Euphoria character Ali in the series' upcoming third season. "I think Sam is the guy who I know, once you think you know what the show is, he's gonna pull the rug out from under you. So, I know that that's what he's interested in doing. So we'll see what happens."

He continued:

"I personally hope to see more of Ali outside of Euphoria, outside of the Rue story and all that. I wanna see how he operates. What is his work life like? What is his dating life like, to get a full sense of this human being? What's his backstory like? I know that Sam gives a backstory once in a while as a little gem. So I'm waiting for Ali, because I think that'll be pretty dope."

Euphoria seasons 1 & 2 are currently streaming on HBO Max.
