In a shock announcement, a competitor of RuPaul's Drag Raceseason 14 has pulled out of the race. In the latest episode, after returning to the Werk Room in order to start the new week competitors realized that Kornbread "The Snack" Jete was not there. In a video message, she announced that she had rolled her ankle the week prior.

When she woke up the next morning she said she was in "excruciating pain." A physician informed her that she needed to rest for six to eight weeks. The announcement signaled the end of her reign on the show.

RuPaul later confirmed that Kornbread did not have the much-desired golden candy bar. When found, the bar will save one queen from elimination.

Kornbread wasn't the first queen to pull out before the end of a season due to an injury. Eureka O'Hara notably had to leave her initial season due to a knee injury. In RuPaul's Drag Race U.K., Victoria Scone also had to leave her season due to an injury.

Kornbread made a big impression early on in the show winning top prize on her debut episode. In addition, she won in the court of opinion, quickly becoming the most-followed queen of the cast. Though she hasn't continued her position as front runner, she was largely viewed as amongst the top queens of the season.

In addition, Kornbread was one of two women cast on the season. In fact, in an earlier interview with Out, Kornbread revealed that Kerri Colby (the season's other trans competitor) was one of the first people she came out to.

"I've known Kerri before this, we've been friends before this," she said. "Fun fact, Kerri was one of the first people that I came out to as trans. She actually helped me through my journey. The peak of me starting everything was actually going to Drag Race and she knew some stuff, but no one else knew anything about it. So it's good to have that kind of comfort person there as well as somebody that knows exactly what you're going through and who's gonna calm you down when your mood swings are about to pop up, because they happen."

"She's one of my favorite human beings on the planet and extremely sweet, extremely funny, and extremely humble," she continued. "No matter how gorgeous the bitch looks, I promise you he's a very humble and sweet person and very caring, so I'm here for her."

RuPaul did not announce whether an invitation had been extended to Kornbread to return for season 15.
