Emma Stone Fancies the Queen in The Favourite Trailer

Emma Stone is diving into yet another sapphic role. The Battle of the Sexes star portrays Abigail, a young 18th century servant who develops a thing for Queen Anne (Olivia Colman), with a side of Rachel Weisz as Lady Sarah.

The Favourite is the latest directorial effort from Yorgos Lanthimos (The Lobster, The Killing of a Sacred Deer). As England is at war with France, Lady Sarah comes in to help the queen govern in her ill state. Meanwhile, Abigail steps in as the queen's companion, with her sights set on aristocracy.

The new trailer includes some pretty sapphic undertones. Things appear to get friendly between Abigail and the queen. But Lady Sarah is up for a challenge.
