There are certain roles that get lost in the shuffle of the constantly evolving world of Hollywood. The truth is there have been casting choices made in movie history that reshaped the narrative moving forward, and most often those have come from iconic pop stars stepping on to set to show off their (often truly otherworldly) acting chops.
Some have played glamorous, musical versions of their real-life of personae... others have chosen to play simple, small-town girls. Still, others have chosen to play strange fishes with human faces (we're thinking of you, Angelina Jolie in Scorsese's greatest film,
