Lady Gaga has long been an LGBTQ ally. And she made that clear when she played a character who was literally named Ally in the highly-anticipated A Star Is Born remake.
In case you haven't seen the newly released film or any of its four predecessors, here's a little bit of a spoiler for you. After being discovered by rock star, Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper), Ally's undeniable talent earns her music fame. But when a scummy manager gets his hooks in her, she quickly sells out and performs on SNL.
In one particularly cheesy scene, Jackson brings Ally to the balcony of their insanely bougie hotel on the Sunset Strip. To give her a little encouragement to perform her new cringe-worthy pop single on SNL, he shows her a huge billboard with her face and name on it.
Gay Twitter has taken to this particular screenshot with affection. While "ally" obviously describes Lady Gaga perfectly, they've applied it to some other LGBTQ allies who deserve a shout-out.
