HARDY, Vol. 2: 'We Are Family'
Where the first issue of HARDY centered on activism, inspired by the United States' tumultuous political climate, the queer zine's second issue is a bit more celebratory. Titled "We Are Family," volume two opens with an essay about the zine's namesake Hardy Gray and how his own family rejected his queerness, and continues into a photo essay with more than 30 LGBTQ people posing together to highlight the power of chosen families in the queer community. Subjects include "Two Fux" singer Adam Lambert, Love Bailey, Karen Ocamb and Gregg Araki. Only 250 exclusive copies exist, all of which are dated and signed, and can be purchased online with a portion of proceeds promised to benefit LGBTQ nonprofits.
