We're obviously huge fans of all kinds of queer art, and we especially love filling up our Instagram feed with young, talented queer artists from around the world. Our latest obsession is Canadian illustrator @emotwink, aka Simon Fortin, whose adorably offbeat cartoon portraits are precious and sometimes nearly pornographic.
Fortin draws everyone from Drag Race queens to go-go boys, and frequently peppers his account with selfies of his own drag looks, which are predictably intricate considering his skill with a brush.
Fortin loves drawing underground and nightlife personalities, drag queens and "all the beautifull creatures from the LGBTQ community!" The artist says he is inspired by everything "soft and round and bubbly," but there is also "the touch of darkness--femme horror icons from Elvira to Morticia Addams."
