Watch: 100 Years of Drag Kings and Male Impersonation
Including Harlem renaissance shakers, mobsters, and more.
Sure, you know that drag queens and female impersonators have been around for decades and have slowly started sneaking their way into mainstream media with the help of shows like RuPaul's Drag Race, but what about the other side of the coin?

The educational (yes, you will learn) video is pegged to the documentary, The Making of a King, and it's IndieGoGo campaign, following some of the top drag kings in L.A. today and their stories and interpretations of drag as artistic expression.
