Adding to its growing list of original programming, YouTube Red, YouTube's subscription-based service that launched last year, will be producing a documentary about Gigi Gorgeous, one of their prominent vloggers.
Gorgeous, who began making videos as Gregory Lazzarato, came out to her followers as transgender in one of her posts back in December 2013 and has since garnered 2.2 million subscribers to her fashion and beauty channel.
According to Variety, the doc will be headed by Oscar-winner Barbara Kopple. "I've spent the last five years going through a very personal journey," Gorgeous said in a statement. "I'm nervous but thrilled to lift the curtain and share my intimate details and experiences through this film on YouTube Red."
