Ellen Page & Girlfriend Samantha Thomas Made Their Red Carpet Debut

Ellen Page brought a particularly special guest to the premiere of Freeheld at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday night. The Freeheld star and producer made her official red carpet debut with girlfriend Samantha Thomas (a surfer), and according to E! Online, Page seemed elated. "I'm in love," she shared. "Walking down the carpet holding my girlfriend's hand is pretty special."

Page looking fabulous in a tux and Thomas was wearing a complementary outfit, making an absolutely dashing couple at the premiere of one of our most anticipated films of the year. Freeheld opens in select theaters October 2, watch a clip here.

It turns out Ruby Rose was also in town for the TIFF premiere. She snapped a pic with the couple and shared it on Instagram, complete with the caption: "When you're not sure if you're a YSL campaign or really stylish waiters."

But jokes aside, Rose also took some time to gush about Page, writing on her Instagram: "When your best friend is the most talented, funny, beautiful, generous, humble human being it's hard to not smile until it hurts. Ellen, I am so proud of you and will always be grateful for everything you are and will always be to me."
