Francois Ozon's latest movie, The New Girlfriend, is just out this week in US theatres, but the prolific filmmaker is already on set for Frantz, a period piece he wrote, and in which rising star Pierre Niney (Yves Saint Laurent) will play one of the leads.
The actor recently teaser a picture from the set:

The movie will be set in the aftermath of World War I, in a small German town. According to Cineuropa, the story, penned by Ozon, follows a woman named Anna who mourns her soldier fiance, Frantz, who was killed in the war. One day a mysterious young Frenchman, Adrien (Niney), also comes to lay flowers on the grave, and his presence sparks unpredictable reactions.
Sounds like a gay-ish plot twist just waiting to happen! We can only hope so.
