2015 has been the year of Tig Notaro--and let's be real, she deserves it! She's been the subject of two documentaries, Showtime's Knock Knock, It's Tig Notaro and Netflix's Tig, and had her own HBO comedy special, Tig Notaro: Boyish Girl Interrupted. Well the good news keeps on rolling in: Amazon's ordered a pilot from her.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nataro will co-write a semi-autobiographical documentary about her life. Oscar-winner Diablo Cody of Juno fame will be Nataro's collaborator on the script and comedy legend Louis CK will executive produce alongside Nataro and Cody.
The show will deal with Notaro's experiences with abdominal disease, her mother's death, a breakup, and breast cancer.
Here's the log line, as THR reports: "Tig Notaro has just recovered from an abdominal disease that has left her gaunt, wasted, exhausted and pretty much stripped of everything except her finely honed sense of the absurd. Abruptly summoned home to Pass Christian, Miss., to take her ailing mother off life support, Tig finds herself dealing with her clingy girlfriend, her dysfunctional Gulf Coast family and the loss of the one person who held everything together."
