WATCH: Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy in the trailer for The Revenant

Likely on his way to another Oscar nomination, Leonardo DiCaprio went mountain-man shaggy for Academy Award-winning director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's (Birdman) latest film, The Revenant.

In something that sounds like it's straight out of The Oregon Trail, the film follows the frontiersman, Hugh Glass, who set out on a path of vengeance in the 1820s against who left him for dead after a bear mauling.

Tom Hardy also stars in the beard-heavy film, due out January 2016. Watch the teaser trailer below.
