Kathy Griffin Leaves Fashion Police, Calls Show ‘[Intolerant] Toward Difference’

'There is plenty to make fun of in pop culture without bringing people’s bodies into it.'

And then there were two. Just one week after Kelly Osbourne exited Fashion Police, Kathy Griffin has announced that she is leaving the panel of the E! television show.

"After seven episodes of Fashion Police, I discovered that my style does not fit with the creative direction of the show and now it's time to move on," wrote Griffin in her twitter announcement.

Griffin, who replaced her longtime friend Joan Rivers as the host of the fashion program, has only filmed seven episodes since Fashion Police returned from hiatus in January.

Like Osbourne, who left the show after panelist Giuliana Rancic made some racists remarks about Zendaya Coleman's Academy Awards red carpet look, Griffin's reasons are also political. "There is plenty to make fun of in pop culture without bringing people's bodies into it," said Griffin in her twitter missive.

This leaves the show in some pretty hot water. Ratings have been mediocre since Fashion Police returned in January and now only Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski are left on the panel.

Still, E! insists the show must go on. "We wish [Kathy Griffin] all the best and are grateful for her time on the show, as well as the many laughs that she gave us all," reads a statement from the network. "Fashion Police will return, as scheduled, on Monday, March 30 at 9 p.m. with our talented co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski and executive producer Melissa Rivers."

We've got the whole of Griffin's goodbye tweet below.
