There is an incredible depth to Holly Miranda. Not just in her voice, or her lyrics, but throughout her whole being. The result of great introspection and perseverance, Holly, a queer woman raised in a deeply religious Pentecostal household, is able multiple layers and facets of herself to her music.
While this is profundity would normally be diluted when recorded, the verve and joie de vivre Miranda exudes when performing live burst through on the record. Case in point, her Daytrotter live session.
Featuring "All I Want Is To Be Your Girl" and "Come On" off her self-titled sophomore LP--out now, by the way--the session showcases the Out100 honoree's incredible songwriting talent and her well-honed, soulful vocals.
