Will Ganss is an Emmy-winning journalist for Good Morning America and ABC News (and the go-to source for all things Taylor Swift) who covers major red carpets and interviews A-list stars. But Ganss’ true mission “is to elevate LGBTQ+ voices, stories of addiction and recovery, and spotlight the everyday heroes inspiring change and connection within their communities.”
“Some of my most rewarding professional experiences have included traveling to small towns and communities across the country, and witnessing firsthand how much we all really have in common,” Ganss says. “Blue or red, Black or white, gay or straight, we’re all seeking the same things: to be seen and heard, and to be empowered to live to the fullest expression of ourselves.”
Though he admits it still sometimes feels like “a professional risk” to be authentically himself, he also understands the importance of using his platform to create visibility. “I am certainly not the first gay man to work in morning television, but there aren't many who wear rhinestones on national TV to celebrate the late, great Dolly Parton, for example.”
Major milestones for Ganss this year include celebrating four years of sobriety and marrying his partner Jason in October. “And now Out100?! I am so proud and grateful.” @willganss
