Matthew Conrado knows the value of the global LGBTQ+ market: $4.7 trillion. As founder and CEO of Alphabet Mafia Consultancy — which he describes as a “disruptive” LGBTQ+ marketing and brand consultancy — he works to connect companies to this valuable consumer group. His clients include Deutsche Bank, Khloé Kardashian's Khloud Protein Popcorn, and queer brands like Gaddies and Disco Fizz.
In 2026, which has seen slashes to DEI budgets, anti-LGBTQ+ political attacks, and queer distrust of corporations, Conrado has his work cut out for him. But the former PepsiCo employee knows there are opportunities for the corporate world and the LGBTQ+ community to partner for the greater good. “We need to approach this work with an abundance mindset rather than a scarcity mindset. There is room for all of us at the table,” he stresses.
“One of the biggest challenges — and opportunities — is moving beyond infighting and competition and toward collaboration,” he says. “We don't need to tear each other down to make room for ourselves. We can build the table together, bring more people to it, and ensure that the success of one part of our community creates opportunities for another.”
In addition to growing his consulting empire, the self-proclaimed “gay Kris Jenner” works as an advocate, podcast host, and “momager” to DJ Joey with the Mustache. @mattconrado
