The one and only, “chunky yet funky” Latrice Royale is the epitome of drag excellence. It’s no surprise that RuPaul always calls her up whenever she has an exciting project in the works. From AJ and the Queen to Stop! That! Train!, Royale has shown herself to be a standout comedic performer and one of Ru’s favorite daughters. Royale even joined RuPaul on a viral episode of Celebrity Family Feud!
The California native says seeing herself on the big screen this year was “a dream come true! I knew I was destined for this, and I want more opportunities to shine and grow.”
With her hysterical one-liners and infectious personality, Royale secured her legacy by winning Miss Congeniality on season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Since then, the drag queen has taken over the Las Vegas stage as a rotating performer in RuPaul’s Drag Race LIVE!, hosted the hit HBO series We’re Here, and even brought her live autobiographical and musical cabaret show to venues like 54 Below in New York City.
Royale has inspired queer people all over the world to love the skin they’re in and spread positivity at a time it’s needed most. “Hold yourself in the highest regard! Be passionate and purposeful in whatever it is that you do in this life,” she advises.
