When Hunter Doohan moved to Los Angeles in 2012, it was to pursue a two-week internship. Today, the Arkansas native is one of Hollywood’s brightest young LGBTQ+ stars.
In 2026, the 32-year-old starred in his first studio film, Evil Dead Burn, and graced Out’s cover as a Scream King bringing queer representation to the horror genre. He also filmed season 3 of Netflix’s Wednesday, in which he plays Tyler Galpin, a character wrestling with his identity as a Hyde monster. He “can’t wait for everyone to see it.” Last year, he co-produced his first film, The Wilderness, in which he also starred.
Doohan is grateful for his success in the entertainment industry. “After years of day jobs and slowly booking small roles, landing the role of Adam on Your Honor and getting to work with Bryan Cranston changed my life,” he notes as a major turning point.
“I’m living my dream,” he says. “I fell in love with theater doing high school plays in Arkansas, so getting to work and create with the amazing people I've gotten to in the last few years really has been insane.”
His message? “Be yourself. Find your people. Fuck what anyone who doesn’t like it has to say about it.” @hunterdoohan
