Although Joe Biden should be enjoying a nice retirement after eight years of being our favorite vice president/ally, he's not done fighting for LGBTQ folk. He just announced a new initiative through the Biden Foundation that will benefit LGBTQ youth.
The "As You Are" campaign aims to build family and community acceptance for young queer people. Through gathering testimonies from queer youth, their families, educators, and more, they hope to build an educational resource. It's available as an online template that anyone can contribute to.
"We'll use our resources to highlight the harms of family rejection and lift up research, best practices, and personal stories to powerfully show the significant value of family acceptance," Biden says in promotional video for the campaign.
