Todd Starnes, Fox News Radio host, has deemed fast-food chain, Chick-fil-A, the "official chicken of Jesus."
Starnes made the side-eye-inducing remark during a speech on July 12 at the Abilene Baptist Church in Augusta Georgia. Starnes' speech was largely focused on the U.S. Supreme Court's historic ruling on same-sex marriage on July 25.
A chain backed by a well-known Christian faith tradition upheld by its president Dan Cathy, Chick-fil-A sent the LGBT community into a tailspin back in 2012 when it openly came out as being unsupportive of gay marriage.
In the speach found below, Starnes expresses defiance against the Supreme Court's ruling by saying, "The Supreme Court may have re-defined marriage, but God hasn't re-defined anything..."
After implying that the allowance of same-sex marriage was the start of a "war on religious liberty", he went on to further bolster Christians saying,"They may demand to know the content of our prayers, they may try to shut down our bakeries, they may try to silence our voices, but we will not be silenced! We will not be intimidated!"
