The rising Floridian's not taking shit from anybody.
Rising singer Emily Vaughn returns today with a bright new single, "MOOD," and it's among the more relatable anthems we've heard this year.
Repeating the sassy line, "I'm not in the mood," the Floridian negates anyone who questions her, sung proudly above sparse power-pop production. "I don't care if I make you stop and stare," she coos, as the track builds into an explosive string-heavy finale.

"'MOOD' is symbolic for moving forward in strength, not taking shit from anybody--for claiming independence when it's presented to you," Vaughn told OUT. "Sometimes you're simply not in the mood to answer to anyone's negative opinions, and that's what drives 'MOOD.'"
