Nicole Kidman To Star As Gretchen Carlson In Film About Roger Ailes

Nicole Kidman is in talks to play former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson in the upcoming film about disgraced Fox News Chief Roger Ailes, who was terminated from his position in 2016 after accusations of sexual harassment surfaced against him.

Kidman joins Charlize Theron, who will play Megyn Kelly in the movie--both journalists were among the most high-profile names involved in claims of Ailes' harrasment. Theron is also set to executive produce. Jay Roach will direct and The Big Short's Charles Randolph will write the script.

Ailes aided in starting the careers of Kelly and Carlson, as well as conservative political commentator Sean Hannity.

Kidman is slated to appear in the upcoming second season of Big Little Lies season 2 on HBO, as well as the Warner Brothers adaptation of The Goldfinch and the conversion therapy drama Boy Erased.
