Leslie Odom Jr., Cynthia Erivo, Orlando Bloom Set to Star in New John Ridley Film

Hamilton's Leslie Odom Jr., The Color Purple's Cynthia Erivo, Lord of the Rings' Orlando Bloom, and Slumdog Millionaire's Freida Pinto are all set to star in the new film from John Ridley, who wrote the Oscar-winning screenplay for 12 Years A Slave.

Needle in a Timestack is Ridley's next great endeavor, about a man trying to save his marriage during an era when time travel has become possible, Vulturereports.

Odom Jr. was also recently seen in the film adaptation of Muder on the Orient Express by Kenneth Branaugh. Erivo is transitioning from Broadway to the silver screen in a major way, also recently revealing she'll star alongside Viola Davis in Widows, as well as in Drew Goddard's Bad Times at the El Royale and Doug Liman's Chaos Walking.

Pinto can next be seen in the Andy Serkis-helmed Jungle Book adaptation Mowgli; Bloom, after catapaulting to superstardom playing Legolas in LOTR and Will Turner in Pirates of the Caribbean, will appear in the Amazon miniseries Carnival Row.
