Mindy Kaling and Riz Ahmed have expressed interest online in creating a film adaptation of the hit Marvel comic series Ms. Marvel.
The comic books were conceived by Pakistani-American Marvel editor Sana Amanat, who, after talking with another editor, Steve Wacker, hired G. Willow Wilson to write the series. The books are about Kamala Khan, a Muslim, Pakistani-American in her teens with superhuman abilities and living in Jersey City. The series debuted in 2014 and became a huge success for the comic company.

Marvel's Kevin Feige told the BBCa few days back that "Ms. Marvel, which is another character in the comic books, the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel, is definitely sort of in the works. We have plans for that once we introduce Captain Marvel." Captain Marvel is an upcoming film starring Brie Larson in the title role.
Following this news, Riz Ahmed made some exciting suggestions, and Mindy Kaling responded with equal enthusiasm, as did Ms. Marvel's original writers:
“Riz! I am obsessed with this comic book, I’ve read them all. I love Kamala Khan. https://t.co/f3PevhfUzv”— Mindy Kaling (@Mindy Kaling) 1526432916
