Kate McKinnon, the comedic genius we all know and love from SNL, has finally scored her very own film with a leading role.
The actress will be starring in the movie The Lunch Witch, a comedy based on the young adult novel by Deb Lucke.
McKinnon will play a witch, Grunhilda, who inherits her ancestors' recipes and cauldrons, but must work as a school lunch lady because no one believes in magic anymore.
"Grunhilda delights in scaring the kids until she meets a timid little girl named Madison with a big set of glasses who becomes an unlikely friend," Deadline reports. "Madison needs help at school and at home, but helping people goes against everything Grunhilda's believes in as a witch."
