Hi Out readers!
How's your June going? Are you almost ready for the Olympics?
The 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games start in exactly one month, on Friday, July 26, and you know we will be seated and watching!
The Olympics are especially wonderful because they are a sporting event where queer athletes from around the world get to compete and be celebrated. In a world often filled with toxic masculinity, traditional beliefs, and homophobia, it's wonderful to see queer athletes getting to shine on the biggest stage in all of sports.
We've already got a list of a few of the LGBTQ+ athletes we'll be rooting for at the upcoming Olympics, and as more teams are officially announced, we'll update the list!
This year we'll be rooting for queer athletes like Great Britain's Dan Jervis and Tom Daley, New Zealand's Robbie Manson and Emma Twigg, and American athletes like Sha'Carri Richardson, Brittney Griner, and Breanna Stewart!
Make sure to keep checking the site for more Olympics coverage as we count down to the games!
Now, onto the news.

This Week in Out History
This day marks the 11th anniversary of the historic Obergefell v Hodges supreme court decision that held that the Fourteenth Amendment granted Americans the fundamental right to marry members of the same sex.
In honor of this historic occasion, check out this moving essay from a married gay man celebrating the one year anniversary of the decision.
