Prince Wilhelm and Simon are returning for a third and final season next year.

Fans who have been eagerly awaiting the return of the gay teen romance Young Royals are in luck because Netflix just dropped a steamy clip from the show’s third and final season.

The clip from the hit Swedish show may be short, but it teases some big news for Prince Wilhelm (Edvin Ryding) and his boyfriend Simon (Omar Rudberg) who will return to Netflix in 2024.

When the second season ended, the prince finally came out publicly during a televised speech and ended the questions about whether he and Siman would be able to be together.

Now, the first-look clip for season three shows Prince Wilhelm leaning against a wall for a moment to watch Simon before slowly walking over to him and saying, “I can’t believe that you are here.”

Simon responds by touching the prince’s lapel in a moment that speaks of their intimacy with one another. “Me neither. I just wish it wasn’t for this reason,” he says, clearly referencing tension between the two teens.

Wilhelm then says, “This isn’t how I dreamed for it to be.” When Simon asks him what his dream was, he then responds, “I can show you” before convincing his boyfriend that no one will miss them if they sneak off.

While we don’t have all of the context for the clip yet, it’s clear that while there may be problems for the boys to overcome, they are clearly still into one another.

The second season of the show premiered back in November 2022, and although we don’t have an exact date yet for when the final season will begin streaming on Netflix in 2024, we do know that the cast finished shooting it in June.

We can’t wait to see what’s in store for the prince and his beau!
