The new fall collections were slick with leather looks, but unless you're planning on joining a motorcycle gang, it isn't always the easiest thing to pull off. However, when leather is done right, it looks chic, expensive, and incredibly sexy. So follow these simple style tips, and watch everyone oggle.

Keep it close to you
The worst thing about leather jackets is that they just don't fit, and baggy leather pants tend to look like a trash bag -- not exactly flattering for anyone. Although leather is a less flexible material, treat it the same way you would with any other fabrics: Slim and fitted.

Step away from black
We almost always think of leather clothing as being black and dangerous, but try and add some color into your leather looks with new shades such as cool blue and light tan. This not only sets you apart from the crowd, but also makes it seem like you're not trying too hard to be tough.

3. Don't mix it up
Part of the reason all these full-leather looks work beautifully is that they combine similar types of skin, even if they are different colors. If you're going for the full look, find leather with similar texture and finish (pattent, vintage, etc.) and stick with it. Mixing different finishes of leather can get sloppy and weird, and no one wants that!
